Arts Critic table makes room for more nominees

One of the advantages of working in a smart, friendly and open-minded city like Austin is that the organizations often reflect the city's character. The Austin Critics Table, which has honored Central Texas achievements in the arts for 10 years, is an informal group of critics who strive to be amiable, adaptable and, when possible, intelligent. For this year's awards, which includes productions that were staged between May 1, 2001, and April 30, 2002, the Table has expanded the number of nominees in certain categories to acknowledge unusual excellence. The critics' free, informal awards ceremony will be June 3 at a location to be announced.
