| West End 1st Thursday April 3, 6-8 pm 1st Thursday Gallery Night 1st Thursday, open until 8:00 pm. Visit the eight diverse galleries located in the chic West End district. All are within walking distance and ample parking is available. April's featured space is F8 Fine Art Gallery. As the name signifies, F8 focuses on fine art black and white photography by showcasing original darkroom-created photographs by husband and wife artists Amy and Richard D. Griffin. "For me, the thing that makes any portrait have merit depends upon whether or not the viewer feels as if he or she is looking at an honest moment captured on film," Richard says. "I have always felt that if I have a sincere connection with my subject, then the odds are greater that I will be able to get that across to an objective viewer when they see the photograph."
