Deemed "The Biggest Open House in Texas," Explore UT presents hundreds of public events across campus that demonstrate the university's mission: teaching, research, and public service. UT invites Texans of all ages to experience the intellectual life, technological advances, and rich resources of a world-class university. During the day's events, stop by the Visual Arts Center to explore four dynamic exhibitions with guided tours beginning each hour, on the hour, from 12–3pm. All ages are welcome on the free tours.

Visual Arts Center
Join us every Saturday at 2pm for a tour of the Visual Arts Center. With the VAC's multiple galleries and ever changing exhibitions, each weekly tour will feature a different theme and conversation topic as a launching pad for visitors to enjoy. A VAC guide will meet participants at the front desk for a tour through the galleries with plenty of time for questions about the work on display. Tours will last approximately 45 minutes and no reservation is necessary.

Artist Talk: John Grade
Thursday, March 28, 7 pm
Seattle-based artist John Grade's work tends to ooze into the surrounding landscape and incorporate humble, natural products materials designed to spend almost ten years in the elements. For his forthcoming project at the site, Grade will engage the lagoon, creating a site-responsive floating sculpture in the lagoon. He will discuss this future commission in the context of his past projects, especially those involving water.

Hear New Works artist Jessica Halonen in conversation with Department of Biomedical Engineering Professor Jeanne Stachowiak and post-doctoral scholar Dr. David Busch. In the context of Halonen's art about plant and animal-based pharmaceuticals, the group will explore the intersections between the natural and medical worlds as well as discuss Dr. Busch's work with genetically modified organisms..
